Concrete Cube Testing
McDonnell Piling Ltd avails of the latest technology in our new concrete cube testing lab.
The cube test is the test most commonly used for determining concrete strength in Ireland. A 150mm (6 in.) cube of concrete is cast, is cured for the appropriate time in our curing tank, and is then compressed between two parallel faces. The stress at failure is taken to be the compressive strength of the concrete.
We adhere to the exact procedures for the cube testing that are laid down in Parts 107, 108 and 116 of BS1882.
We also facilitate testing of 100mm / 4” concrete cubes and testing of cylinder samples.
